Morukuru Family Resort, De Hoop Nature Reserve The Morukuru Family Resort is a 5-star hotel and holiday resort in the marine protected area of De Hoop Nature Reserve in the utopian province of Western Cape, South Africa. The award-winning luxury hotel consists of several luxury villas, including the brand-new Morukuru Ocean House and Morukuru Beach Lodge, overlooking the Indian Ocean. This was the first project of its kind that Woodco completed in South Africa.

Following their decision to upgrade the villas’ heating system, the owners of this premium holiday resort sought a first-class heating solution to reflect the first-class service that the resort offers to its guests. Following through research, the owner decided on Woodco’s Biomass heating solutions. This idyllic coastal getaway venue is now home to three of Woodco’s E-Compact Twist Condensing Biomass Boilers – one 45kW model and two 70kW models. Woodco’s E-Compact Twist pellet boiler range is the most powerful range of condensing pellet boilers in the
world, and is available in a range of outputs from 25kW to 100kW, for both domestic and commercial purposes, and is 103% efficient. It is the only condensing pellet boiler in the world to use a single heat exchanger. The boilers were installed by Dutch energy experts, Bekkema Installatietechniek.
Engineers came to visit Woodco’s Training Centre at our base in Co. Tipperary in Ireland to perfect their understanding of the advanced and unique technology before travelling to South Africa to install the boilers.
